Brandon has been around YSRs from a young age. His cousin had a 1990 Red, White & Blue YSR that he always dreamt of riding but was too young and small. Fast forward 20 years, and the fire was reignited when he purchased his first YSR. He was quickly enamored, leading him to the Yamaha YSR50 Trading and Sale community on Facebook. After being made an administrator, he and a few other members agreed a YSR Event + Ride was imperative to bring all of our YSR Heads together to share our passion…and BOOM 💥YSR DAIZE was born!

Back to YSR talk… Of the few YSR’s Brandon has obtained in the last few years, his most prized bike that’s had the most profound impact on his learning is the bike pictured above: a 1987 YSR80 2GX imported from Japan. He bought this bike as a complete mess, and transformed it back to the original design featuring the NOS OEM Fairing’s and Tank. This bike also has all Period Correct aftermarket parts that were available when first made: Fox Shock, Team Calamari Rear Sets, Triple Tree Brace, TCR Built Engine, JLF Aluminum box Swing arm, TCR Clip ons, TCR Twin Stinger Exhaust, DG aluminum rims, as well as the highly sought out Performance Machine Big Brake kit. All the aluminum on the bike was professionally polished to give it the mirror effect. This bike won a few trophies and is a true ripper! 💨 Other bikes in his stable include the 1990 Red White and Blue YSR50 that was the first YSR he ever saw (love at first sight), as well as a YSR with a YZ80 swap built by the great fabricator John Luciene (JLF).

Race AShley

Race was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. He's always been interested in anything with wheels and a motor as he's been around them since birth. The first motorcycle he ever had was a Yamaha PW80, which he got at 3 years old, and you couldn’t keep him off a bike since. He began to be heavily involved in the Jacksonville car and bike scene in 2012 and remains invested. Currently, between Race and his father Larry, they have 12 bikes, big and small - five of which are YSRs! Their YSR collection includes a 1987 zebra striped YSR50 and a 1990 black YSR with a YZ80 swap. The other three are currently undergoing some unique swaps and getting features added! Race’s father was the person who initially sparked Race’s interest in anything with wheels, so they spend much of their time working on the bikes and vintage Volkswagens together.

Ethan Kent

Social Media Manager

Ethan was born and raised in East Tennessee. He has grown up around and worked on many motorcycles, cars, and ATV’s from a young age. He first started out buying and building vintage ATC’s, but he was determined for a life on two wheels. His father, Dan, led him into the 2 stroke motorcycle scene. The first motorcycle he ever owned is a 1975 Yamaha RD350, which he got at 16. He didn’t stop there, though, he was intrigued to get a YSR when his father got one. Once he got the opportunity to get a 1988 Yamaha YSR50 at the end of summer 2019, it has led him into a greater love for motorcycles. He has since resurrected it from a basket-case to a period correct YSR. Currently, between Ethan and his father, Dan, they have 4 motorcycles, all of which are 2 strokes — 2 of them are YSR’s. Their collection includes a 1989 YSR50 that has been swapped with a Blaster 200, 1988 period correct YSR50, 1975 RD350 café racer, and a 1984 RZ350. Ethan has since started a small rapidly growing social media 2 stroke business that has since given him the opportunity to be a sponsor for YSR Daize 2020.
